Agreed kids qualifying is a problem for the MS schools.

Umm, he sure looked good in the state championship game against the only good team he played all year

All joking aside, does Nutt really think that it isnt important to Recruit Mississippi at all? It honestly seems as if he only has a handful of targets left on the board that he is after. I know some older Ole Miss alumni who are my dad's age, and one of whom played with Archie. He gets ticked off when Ole Miss passes over Mississippi kids to bring out of State players to Ole Miss.
I dont know if its more that Nutt doesnt want Mississippi players or that Mississippi players dont like Nutt????

There are still plenty of MS kids on the board. Coleman, Robinson, Bennett, Martin, Sanders, Johnson and Ole Miss is sitting pretty with all of them. To say he doesn't recruit them at all is a bit of an understatement. However, he's not going to risk his whole class not making there grades and not qualifying like O did.

If im not mistaken all 12 of last years Dandy Dozen players from Mississippi qualified. There is a new program that MS high schools are using called Gameplan and its sponsored by Cellular South and it helps students follow all of the requirements that they need to do in order to qualify for college. Of Mississippi States signees from last year only 2 were non qualifiers and both were from Alabama, every one of the 22 we signed from Mississippi qualified.

I feel like he is going after the guys that he wants the most and that he thinks will be able to help us win. That is his job, it's not ours. People need to realize that he gets paid all of this money to get players to help us win, that is all. I think I will leave it up to him because he probably could give two shits what people from other schools say about his recruiting "tactics"

You know what always excites me?
Old Miss' last conference title: 1963

You know what always excites me?
The team that has gotten beat the last two years still uses the same old lines. 9 out of 10 rantards on here weren't born then so I honestly could care less. I only care about now.

The fact that Ole Miss got their butts kicked in this year's Egg Bowl and are now getting kicked in recruiting due to the fact that Mullen WANTS the top Mississippi HS football players.
That is what excited me

i'll take a loss to Old Miss every year if it's followed by an SEC title and NC. How many of those do you have this decade Reb?

Ole Miss 0 (ZERO) commits from the state of Mississippi. Also, former Ole Miss leans Robert Johnson, Vincent Sanders, Taurice King, and Carlos Thompson (all from Mississippi) are now leaning towards Mississippi State.

Another MS HS prospect just committed to Mississippi State today in Northeast Jones (Laurel) LB Corvel Harrison a 6'3" 230 tackling machine who impressed Mississippi State coaches so much in the MS/AL all star game that they offered him on the spot.

sorry rebs, but hooter's only going to get the in-state guys that "want to be at ole miss". he's not going to recruit them hard. he just isn't.
all the in-state recruits that he got at AR would have gone to Arky if Bin Laden had been coach (mcfadden, hillis).
expect the backend of you class (and the ones that qualify) to be filled to the brim w/ tweeners and RB's.
source? 10 years of evidence.
