So instead of doubling his salary, it's about to be cut in half. Not to mention an upcoming 5-7 season with a shitty team, fanbase that never fill up the stadium, and a ruined reputation.
I'm sure I never watched or thought of a UCLA game last year. Watched many SEC and B1G games. Only really viewed Oregon for west coast football.
He's going to have about 1/3rd the media exposure he would have had at Tennessee and the SEC. What a stupid play.

Not to mention a state income tax and a stadium that is barely half full (compared to 100k). Along with learning a new playbook in 4 months.
Literally every aspect of this whole situation is hilarious. What a terrible decision.

What will Heupel do to find a quarterback that will be starting over almost from scratch to be Tennessee starter?

We have a few decent prospects in the QB room, and if we take someone from the portal, it will be someone who chose to enter the portal voluntarily, not someone who tried to hamstring his current team for more money and got cut.
It’s not the best situation for us, but it’s a hell of a lot worse for Nico

There is only one state in America that receives more than it pays and that is New Mexico. It the only technical "welfare" state.

He's going to be in the 12.3% California bracket and 37% federal bracket. Good problem to have.
