USN&WR top 25 public undergrad business college
not setting the academic world on fire, but pretty damn good.
Part of me is skeptical of this. I am not saying I am even impressed, I'm just a little skeptical you can crack the top 25 in any sort of ranking.
A&M, tu, OU, every Big 10 public school, every Pac 12 public school outside of Utah/Oregon St, KU, Mizzou, Florida, Georgia, Bama, Georgia Tech, UNC, UVA, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Pitt, and Rutgers would be off of the top of my head better. Whether that is accurate or not, and I only really scrolled through BCS conferences in my head, would by my impressions be better. But where is this rank? I am too lazy to google.

Not even close. And you're smart enough to know better.
Perry is so dumb, he thought he had to get married again to Anita when she got pregnant with their 2nd child.

Right now the Texas fans are content to leave aTm off the schedule and watch them bleed in the SEC. But make no mistake, eventually the Texas fans will be tired of having only one game a year they care about. And if aTm starts doing well in the SEC, Texas is going to feel the pressure to play aTm or risk looking like pansies in the state they claim to dominate.
Agreed, and I think aTm's recruiting improves in Texas as well over time. Why? Because the Texas recruits generally like to stay in Texas, but many will want to showcase their skills in the SEC.

I would be more concerned with the word, 'school' not being representative of the product, more so than the Walton name.
Does it bother you AMU lumps a "prominent" Association as Former Students in lieu of a more prestigous word like Alumnus/Alumni? Sounds so High School to say Student. In fact, I know a couple of HS dropouts who are former students of my HS. AMU dropouts are Former Students, Yes?

No. When the Association was initially formed, few people went to college and even fewer graduated. The initial founder decided to contact all former students (around 3,000 at the time) instead of only graduates (300 or so).
Plus it honors Aggies who went into military service and were unable to complete their education (there was no G.I. Bill after WWI).
Remember in Aggieland there are no "ex-Aggies" (once an Aggie, always an Aggie).

remember, "public" schools. I got the top 25 from the Walton College website, which says the 2011 ranking for public undergrads is at #24.
The MBA program is #51 of all private and public schools (edit: which the Walton site claims is #25 for public universities). Again, not spectacular but not too bad.

It appears that with the growth of NWA and the major businesses (Wal-Mart, JB Hunt, Tyson) the Flagship has grown and improved as well. So it rightfully can

Wow. I had no idea. I know US News makes you pay for their lists, but I definitely would like to see a compiled list somewhere. Look at you little piggies, doing something other than be mediocre in football. I am sort of proud of you.

Oh. So, it's Tradition to include dropouts. Good for the founder and you current kids.

Here is some prospective on the Lone star showdown.
Started in 1894, same year as the rivalry between Ole Miss and LSU aka magnolia bowl, The South's Oldest Rivalry and The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry are only 2 years older than aTm v UT. Shame to waste such a great rivalry on a juvenile d*ck measuring contest.

How can the word almuni/alumnus be prestigious when A&M doesn't use it? What a weird argument.

Read the rest of the post. It includes Aggies who were called into military service (which during WWI would be nearly the entire student body, same for WWII).

They ended it once before and it came back.

when i was an undergrad, the Waltons donated $300 million, and the undergrad international economics program was ranked among the 20 best in the world. the business school has been top 25 public for at least the last 3+ years.
the walton name and the shitload of money that came with it did a lot to raise the perception of the school. not to mention all the job opportunities in the area.

He's a piggie. Telling him about the honor and sacrifice of defending this country isn't really important to them. Just ask them how eager they are to trample on our memorial for students who lost their lives in combat.

True. But the rivalry was still there just not played. Also it stands as one of the oldest rivalries in football, just not the most continually played. Look at Aburn v. Bama, they lost years of football but that rivalry was always there. Even though I am a Die Hard LSU fan i would hate to see your rivalry game with tu go the way of the do-do. Like i was sad to see our rivalry against Tulane end (completely different circumstance)

Ah good old academic smack talk. The first sign that your particular schools team didn't have a good year on the field. Gotta love it when you see it broken out.

Did not attend A&M (actually have yet to visit there though it is on my bucket list) but
The renovated MSC looks really good from the pictures I've seen. It will look even better next to a brand-new Kyle Field.
