I remember when all those teams were total shite shows.

At the time of the SEC expansion in 1992, those teams had the following all-time national rankings and win%:

#49 Utah (0.565)
#80 Washington State (0.505)
#75 Oregon (0.518)

For comparison, here are some numbers for SEC teams ca. 92:

#45 Mississippi (0.573)
#59 Vandy (0.540)
#69 Kentucky (0.522)
#87 State (0.488)

Only potential losses are Bama, ole Miss, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Easily 10-4


Past #7 for each conference is a wash; none of them are measurably better or worse than the others.
I think the SEC would definitely win most of the top 7 though, but certainly not every matchup.

How about through two weeks of games, the ACC has 1 non-P5 loss.
SEC you ask? 5.
The bottom of the SEC is just as bad as any other conference, and worse than some, it appears.
