Enough ghetto tennis already. Best SEC football in-game diss of all time.

I nominate 2023 Miz-UTk.
UT 4th and goal. 34 seconds left in the 4th quarter. MIZ 36 UT 7. UT brings field goal unit on field. Drink ices kicker. UT misses field goal.
Has any other HC drug his nuts across the face of an opponent like that? NFL I remember the 2001ish rams being up by a lot and recovering an onside kick vs the seahawks I think.

LSU-Auburn 2001 for the SECW title in a game delayed by 9/11. Auburn came out and stomped on the Tiger eye at midfield and got a 15 yard penalty before the game even started (this is of course after they had smoked cigars on the Tiger eye 2 years prior). LSU then proceeds to kick an onside kick to start the game and recovers it. Auburn’s kicker then got in a fight with the Golden Band from Tigerland at halftime lol. LSU goes on to win the game.
The cherry on top is LSU upset Tennessee in the SECCG and knocked them out of the natty. As evidenced by your post they have not since recovered!

It’s great to celebrate when the blind squirrel finds the nut. But I wouldn’t invest in that squirrel being around long term.
Can I get a ruling on this as a “football diss” since it happened during a basketball game but involved a football coach?

I’d think it would have to be near the top of this category, unless it only technically qualifies as a basketball diss. If so, I will gladly withdraw the question as I know that discussions of basketball would be very triggering to those of your persuasion in these troubling times.

Oddly enough, his actual career highlight was going 3 for 3 for 105 yards and a td as a 4th quarter reserve in a 2022 blowout. But that was probably just a no name, rentawin nobody school with a “quirky” (NTTAWWT) head coach.
