To all the posters thinking Dyer's recruitment isn't over:

After watching video of his press conference and hearing him answer questions, Dyer's commitment to Auburn is very solid. When asked whether he would take any more visits, he said that it depends on whether the AU coaches want him to. Also, when asked about other schools swaying his commitment before NSD, he responded that he had visited all the other schools and they are all good universities with great coaches, etc. but at the end of the day, Auburn was where he felt most comfortable. He also hinted that the Tennessee official visit last weekend was about making sure he was making the right choice.

I honestly think we have a legitimate shot at Lattimore now...Dyer said he is actively recruiting Lattimore himself

I'm hoping for Trevon Reed to commit... If he does we have a good shot at Seastrunk... Dyer/Seastrunk combo would be like Brown/Carnell... Wishful thinking, but maybe it'll happen.. WDE

I agree with this. Lattimore was in AU last weekend as was Carnell Williams to visit and speak with him about AU.

Michael Dyer will not only bring a blend of speed and power to Auburn, but he's also trying to bring a few other top RBs with him-ESPN.COM

I agree, it's definitely over and it has been for a long time now. If this commitment surprised anyone, they should clean the wax out of their ears and start paying attention.

I wish he hadn't gone to a divisional rival but that's life. I hope he gets negative rushing yards when we play Auburn but other than that I wish him luck.

congrats to auburn and congrats to dyer....

we will still be kicking their arses with or without 5 foot 8 Michael Dyer (who did not want to have to compete with our current stable of backs) so it really does not matter anyway.....

More quotes from Dyer, some of which are about Marcus Lattimore. (originally posted on Auburntron.com.)

“When I went to the game [a 41-30 Tigers win over West Virginia on Sept. 19)] it was pouring down rain and the game was delayed 30 minutes, but the fans were still there cheering and wet. People had paint all over their bodies and signs that they held out and they sat there throughout the game. They didn’t move. Those are true fans that I would like to play for and go out there and give 100 percent.”

“The last few weeks, me and Marcus Lattimore have had conversations and sent texts back and forth trying to figure out what’s going on and to see if he’s going to go to Auburn or not,” Dyer said. “I told him it would be great for both of us to come out there and tag-team and run the ball. He seemed to be very respectful like he would fit into Auburn. I have been working on him to get him to commit there. He’s a nice guy and it would be pretty amazing to get him to commit to Auburn.”

“I wanted to go out and do my own thing,” Dyer said. “I didn’t want to feel like I had to be a star at Arkansas and live up to somebody else’s hype. I wanted to go out and live my life according to how I feel. I was my choice. I just wanted to go live my life and get a brand new start. It was just what I am looking for.”

“Auburn is on the rise,” he said. “We want it to be that team that everybody talks about like Florida or LSU. Auburn is going to be that one day. Once we all get there and get on the same page, we are going to make history.”

Sounds to me like Auburn may have a better shot at Lattimore than Seastruck
