I'll say this about Germy... even with the shite level of talent he's inherited, his defensive calls have been impressive. I don't for a moment fear anyone out scheming him let alone Merlins.

He's the best play calling defensive coordinator I've ever seen. His feel for when to press the issue with pressure and when to play with the QBs head and back out of it is masterful shite.
I absolutely love the way he calls a defense.

He's called our D perfectly even against some of the weird shite WVU does. Our players haven't always been able to execute his calls but his calls on D have been wonderful. And I have to say that the young secondary he decided to go with is improving by leaps and bounds. I don't doubt him one bit on defense -- he's getting good performances out of slaw and true froshies.
On offense, I'm wondering if it him or Helton that is too stubborn to admit that we're just not able to be a power running team yet but we do have enough talent at QB, WR, TE to do some damage if they'd just air it out more. Our OL can only pass pro right now.
