Uhhh in case you didn't notice, BDS is outside on a grass surface. I then said kicking in a dome is different. I guess I gave you too much credit by assuming you could use logic to conclude that I wouldn't have blamed Saban for trying those longer kicks in a dome.

2007 is not 2011. Oklahoma will not jump us, because they lost to a really bad Texas Tech team in Norman. Oregon won't jump us because they already lost to you by a lot more than we did. Boise won't jump us because they're irrelevant and the ratings/revenue for the game would be much lower than usual
Actually, I think Oklahoma has a good shot of jumping Bama if they win the Big 12.

You always manage to say some of the stupidest shite. I'm sure your fellow bammers are proud of you.

Finebaum was glorious yesterday. No Tammy, but he hung up on people that wanted to talk about the LSU game.
I heard his interview on the Brando show. He said the atmosphere was the closest thing to Woodstock he had ever seen. I can't get over the analysts claiming the offenses aren't competent. I went back and watched the first half last night. The AJ pass into the endzone was right on the money, but Claiborne made an AWESOME play to tip it away at the last second. I also saw several other plays where against anybody else it's a big play, but the defense was so good, it was shut down.

Time will tell. But you said if we think voters care about what's fair then we were naive, and I proved that they do.

PF flat out threw AJ under the bus yesterday.

Another good reason for a rematch (providing LSU & Bama both win out- which they probably will):
I already said they'd be the two best teams- but here's something else to consider: Wouldn't the SEC then get double the money?

I just think a really ugly loss to a bad team coupled with no longer having a conference championship game really hurts them. A year ago you could say "well Alabama didn't play in the conference championship game. Oklahoma did." You can't say that now. Then you compare the two losses. Oklahoma lost to unranked TT, who then got destroyed by Iowa State the next week. Alabama lost to the #1 team in the country by 3 points.

Perhaps, but you have to take into account who was in that game. LSU vs. Ohio State was not only the most fair choice, but it was also the best one in terms of revenue and ratings.

The SEC would get double the money, and the TV ratings would be insane. Did you see the Sports Nation poll yesterday? It was a yes or no question. It was something like "would you be in favor of a rematch?" 60% of the county said yes. The other 40% was in parts of Big 12 country, and Oregon.

That's disappointing. I thought AJ did a pretty good job. The INT to Claiborne was ugly, but Claiborne did a really good job of baiting him into making the throw. I was thinking about that yesterday. That was probably the first time all year a CB has been so good that he could bait AJ into making that throw, so how could AJ really be prepared for it?

They would get more than normal but they wouldn't get twice as much from the BCS because the SEC would lose out on the Sugar.

Oh, you're right. I had completely forgot about that.
ETA: Now we all know why Slive wanted to get a third BCS game for the SEC. He knew this was a real possibility.

For the guys wanting a rematch please answer this question. Does it make sense for LSU to have to play in and win an extra game against the sec east champion just to have an opportunity to beat a team that didn't win their division and lost to us already at their place? Makes no sense and I think the voters will use this train of thought when the time comes.

Of course they do. Or at least they think they do. They are indoctrinated (fans and players alike) to believe that they are still the better team. I've seen some give LSU and Miles props, but the majority (I'm looking at you MM) are too busy justifying how Bama gave the game away and LSU only won because they left points on the field.
No, Bama says they want a rematch because they can't justify Les Miles beating one of the most vaunted Bama teams in history and besting Saban...again.
Maybe if all the cards fall a certain way, I would see Bama making it back in, but there are at least 2 or 3 teams that deserve a shot before Bama is rewarded for its loss to LSU.

No.
Without a rematch, Bama can claim a "people's championship" like USC in 03. With a rematch they just get handled again.

But what about the conference title? Bama wouldn't have played in a confernce championship game either.
Also, what if Oregon wins the Pac 12? That would leave Oregon, Bama, and Oklahoma. 2 teams already lost to LSU, the other lost to Texas Tech.
There is going to be a huge BCS mess if Oklahoma and Oregon win their conferences.
