You are absolutely correct A&M blew games last year in the 2nd half. That has two sides to it though. A&M really was only soundly beaten by OU. It is a good question as to what happened, the answer is several things.

Injuries to key players was a factor. Coryell Judie was a monster in the secondary and returned 2 KO's for A&M in '10 but he barely played last year due to injury. Jonathan Mathis went down for the season early and he was counted on for DL depth (fortunately we have him for this year). I have no doubt we win the Texas game if we have either Michael or Gray at RB (Gray lit Texas up for over 200 yards in '10 against a certain DC who left btw). Conditioning was a real issue.

It was evident starting in the OSU game our guys simply weren't in shape like they needed to be. This was the first thing Sumlin addressed when he got on campus with our new S&C guy.

The inexplicable play of Jeff Fuller was a constant frustration. Here was a guy with borderline 1st Rd NFL talent that was a monster in '10 and played like he couldn't give a rats arse all year. The lowlight being a drop of an easy TD pass in OT against KState that would have won that game but he had many others. We actually had over 60 dropped passes last year which was beyond frustrating.

Coaching was certainly a factor. I'm sure the Arkie folks here can remember how Sherman didn't go for it on 4th and short twice when Michael was killing Arkie all day long, he also just went away from the run in general despite how well it was working and of course the defensive coaching in that game was abysmal. I don't think we put a DB within 10 yards of Wright all game.

None of that excuses the losses. We blew those games. What it does say though is it wasn't like A&M just sucked arse all year. We were preseason Top 10 for a reason. We were favored in 12 of 13 games for a reason. If anything the team is faster and more talented now than last year from a Rivals recruiting perspective. For instance there is a kid named Trey Williams that you are going to know after Saturday, he came in as a true fish and was the star of both of our scrimmages.

Laugh about the B12 all you want but the fact of the matter is the Big 12 was very good last year from top to bottom. The middle teams of the Big 12 were arguably better than those of the SEC.

Here is the thing. A&M isn't expecting to win the SEC this year. We are hoping to win 8 games, maybe 9 if everything falls perfectly. Too many new things for us to contend seriously but we are dangerous.

OU is in the big12.

This is a discussion about the SEC.

You knowledge is showing to be severely limited, I don't have time to draw the pictures needed to explain it too you since your reading comprehension is severely lacking.

I fully realize you were talking about the SEC, but the point stands. No elite team has tried to use an offense like ours except OU, and none in the SEC. The closest comparison SEC-wise was Kentucky, and it's very, VERY different than what Kentucky ran, not to mention our personnel is FAR superior.

So again, what are these SEC teams that were better than A&M, tried our offense, and failed? You can't list any because there aren't any, and it's YOUR knowledge that is showing to be severely limited. Now, go crawl back into the hole of self loathing you inhabited when Petrino got fired, instead of talking out of your arse.

not saying your offense is anything like OU's offense from 08 but we held them to 14 points, thats what elite SEC defenses can do. I'm not scared
