I'm talking about on this particular messageboard

Did I actually see you say you were 30 minutes from winning the SECCG?

You asked how his arms could possibly be at the same level as the other guy's face. That is how it happens. I don't know if it was a cheap shot or not. The only one that knows that is Holt. Of course GT is going to be mad because one of their players had his jaw crushed. Even if it was a clean hit, many GT people would say it was a cheap shot.

Yes. How is that a factually incorrect statement? We were leading at half time.

Touche, cheese grits.

I think the main point of all of this is:

Tech has done just as well (perhaps better) as UGA has within the confines of their conference competition.

Now if the question was - who is the better team in the UGA vs Ga Tech rivalry - well then, that's not really up for debate.

If you are honest with yourself you know LSU was just toying with ya.

Not sure about GT, but of course Tulane regrets it. Have you seen their attendance? It's worse then a high school game. No one gives a shite about Tulane anymore and they are right in the middle of New Orleans. Hell they almost dropped their football program a few years back.

Had Tulane not left the SEC, LSU/Tulane would be one of the top rivalries in the country.

Not disputing any of that, its just a par-for-the-course Georgia fan way of viewing things

I never claimed a moral victory, I simply pointed out that fact to dispute the claim that we were irrelevant last year.

So in the biggest game of the year for them, they just sleepwalked through the first half and didn't really GAS? Yeah I don't really buy that.

What actually happened was we played about our best half of ball all year against the #1 team in the country and could have easily been up by 3 touchdowns if it weren't for stupid, self-inflicted mistakes. However, we only went into halftime with a small lead. Once LSU went ahead, I think we eventually started to hang our heads and realized we couldn't match up with them the rest of the game.

They were clearly better than us, nobody is denying that. But to say they were losing at halftime simply because they were "toying" with us is ridiculous. I don't think they even had a first down the whole half.

Don't let these Auburn fans get to you. If it makes you feel better I consider Georgia irrelevant every year.

On a serious note Georgia played very well that first half, but Bobo choked it. I am not really sure who choked it more, him or Grantham.

I don't fault grantham at all. we came out and absolutely stoned them for a half. It's not grantham's fault we gave up 2 huge ST plays. On the other hand, I have to really give Bobo a hand for that first half. Without our star RB, we went in with a lead and had 2 more TDs dropped off our receivers hands. There's really nothing Bobo can do about that.

At the end of the day, they were just a much better team and it ended up showing.

I would like to hear more about this. So what did he sue for exactly in regards to the graning incident? And did he win?

The only time I remembering him suing the papers was after the game fixing thing between butts and bryant.

I just want to point out that a mere mention of Georgia Tech's historical qualifications has led to UGA fans feeling the need to defend their relevenacy

Good point, you guys should get them again this year. I can't believe I am saying this, but maybe you can beat the west team and bring some pride back to the East.

Call me crazy, but the team that went undefeated in the East should've been the East champion last year.

Ugh, that's not what happened at all. I was directly responding to a specific statement that UGA was not relevant this year.

It's not like someone said "GT has been pretty good historically" and I said "Oh yeah!?!? Well we almost beat LSU this year!"
