Didn't Auburn dropped 5 spots in 2017?

After losing SEC championship Auburn fell from 2 to 7 right. And guess who got in? Bama. So don't tell me no president for conference loser to fall. That being said, im not sure they should. Is it resume or who you think is best team. But if Bama gets in, Miami should too. Both have better resumes than ND although I think ND is probably a better team.

Wisconsin was undefeated, lost to Ohio St in the Big 10 championship 27-21, and also was left out that year.

The narrative of not punishing for conference championship losses this year is a crock of shite.

100%.

It’s always arbitrary and changes every year. Well, not entirely arbitrary. We definitely expect to see the highest ratings possible make the playoff.

ND and Bama will be in.

A close loss in a conference championship is one thing, but when you get absolutely embarrassed by a team you barely beat earlier in the season, that makes it hard not to be “punished” when there is a tight field of bubble teams.

One way to look at the SECCG was another opportunity for Bama to impress the committee with a win or close loss, but they didn’t take advantage of the opportunity that other bubble teams didn’t get.
