I argued in that thread about this point. There's no real evidence to say one way or another. All I know is that Alabama's basic design has been used since 1946. The color scheme on the helmet was changed in 1960, leading some Hog fan to suggest Alabama copied Arkansas. Yet crimson tops, with white pants and crimson striped had been used since the Rose Bowl in the 30s.

no clue on 'bama but OU copying their unis after ours when MacKenzie went there in '66 is 100% accurate.

Yep. Oklahoma definitely did. I'm just helping nail it down. I've never heard anything in reference to Alabama. Our uniforms changed a lot under Frank Broyles and we inherited him from Missouri, Georgia Tech.

Bear Bryant probably got some ideas from Frank or the Fordyce Redbugs.(I kid)

Arky used to have one of my favorite uniforms back when DMC was there. The new "sleek" look Petrino has brought looks gay.
