If he had waited for a better setup I actually think he could have been a successful college "CEO" type HC
With the right timing and coordinator hires he could have done a lot better.
He could have dominated NIL recruiting with the right program and backers.
Maybe he has a little wind in the sails still, but I doubt it at this point.

Meh, he got a huge raise in the offseason. I’d say he played it pretty perfectly. Got paid right as the talent left town

They didn’t have the financial backing. He basically said as much last year.
I can’t stand the guy but he conned his way to a 9 million/ year coaching job
