Kentucky is a good team, but you’re right that inviting all 16 is a waste. The 12 team format was perfection and made this event a huge hit for SECN. Maybe something can we done with 14. It was fun watching the bottom teams fight for a spot in the tournament.

maybe single elimination until you get to the final 4. Use another field so you can play 6 games a day instead of trying to cram 4 in one day at one park. But most teams like Bama would not stand a chance as their starting pitching is slim

Not happy we play at 1130 am tomorrow now. I had my evenings cleared for the week. This jacks up my work schedule badly lol.

I miss seeing teams remain in the tournament, but taking 2 loses when you’ve already secured your spot is unfortunate.
Maybe a 14 team single elimination. There are always a couple schools that have no chance. Let the teams that finish at 13-14 feel good about at least making it to the tournament.
