No, he just said the criticism had already begun online, so I assumed he meant here.

Sheridan absolutely needs to apologize to Cecil and Cam Newton. He knew the first time he heard this name that there would be legal ramifications if he revealed it. Instead he at minimum suggested that he would reveal the name and now is hiding behind a lawyer.

Smart for him not to name the name, but it still makes him a bitch.

Random musings from bamamag:

quote:

All hope of AU going down just went out the window. I have to give them credit. They know how to use intimidation, organized crime and any and all loopholes to get away with their cheating ways.

This "witness" has been ordered by "THE FAMBLY" to keep his mouth shut or face real consequences (likely violent in nature). Corruption at its best.

What a shame. Crap paper tossing commencing down at Goober's Corners in 3, 2, 1...................

if he was going to give this reason for not spilling the beans, why bring this up at all? Embarassing.

If he was telling the truth he'd need not worry about a lawsuit. But since he's afraid of getting sued tells me he knows his story wouldn't wash.

Basically what we've learned today is that the NCAA doesn't have shite and can't get their supposed witness to come forward.

If Danny Sheridan can be believed.

Exactly. He knew long before he ever went on Finebaum the first time that he would never be able to reveal this name.

The cost of litigation comes into consideration.

Well, I'm not defending him, by any means, because he knew what he was getting into, but the issue with sources and reporters is a bit of a touchy one.

He seriously expects us to believe that he didn't think him saying that would cause all this hoopla? What a dumb arse.

And that cost could be recouped from the other side if their lawsuit failed. Guy is a douche.
