Like I said earlier, I was young and I really don't remember, facts would be much appreciated on this.

Lemanski Hall, Michael Rodgers, Derek Oden, and Antonio London were the four starting linebackers. And, as dominant as Curry and Copeland were in '92, Hall and Rodgers were the two leading tacklers on the defensive side of the ball. So yes, the linebackers were still making the plays. The starting line up looked like this:

DE: Eric Curry
NT: James Gregory
DE: John Copeland

OLB: Lemanski Hall
ILB: Michael Rodgers
ILB: Derek Oden
OLB: Antonio London

CB: George Teague
FS: Chris Donnelly
SS: Sam Shade
CB: Antonio Langham

Saban runs a 3-4 at Bama because he has yet to be able to recruit enough bodies for the D-line for him to feel comfortable returning to his 4-3 roots
Was that the same reason he has run a 3-4 at every stop in his coaching career?
