Could a two loss team ever seriously be considered a national champion?

considering we're allowing 12 teams a chance to win it, get ready to see some teams in the future win it with 2 or hell maybe even 3 losses.

The correct answer is “ yes, if it’s alabama.”
The committee knows that only bama can beat bama, so we get credit for a win & a loss on those seldom occasions when the other team disrespectfully has scored more points.
