Certainly does. You keep saying he caught it but it wasn’t a completed pass if he drops it after that hit. Wrs need to take 3 steps for completion. He took 1 at most.

Seems like he was advancing it. Keep trying though, I'm sure you'll be able to change the rule somehow if you keep arguing it.

What size brain must someone have to argue about this for days on end...
And never to get bored.
The play was reviewed. They watched it over and over. They are trained officials. You make tacos for a living.
Move on.

Learn the rules, especially if you're going to complain about them.
Targeting was implemented to protect the player doing the hitting, not the one getting hit. It's to prevent him snapping his own neck, which happened far too often prior to the implementation of the rule.
Unfortunately the rule was extended for clown reasons to include a gluttony of unnecessary details. i.e. they think it's funny because people like you will complain.

How many steps after landing did he take with the ball before the hit? Certainly not 3.

In American football, a wide receiver (WR) does not need to take a specific number of steps to be considered to have control of the ball; the key is to secure the ball with their hands or arms before it hits the ground, and then establish themselves as a runner by getting both feet or another body part down inbounds, which can happen immediately after catching the ball without taking any additional steps. No he does not have to take 3 steps. Not sure where you got that shite?

If you are arguing that the receiver wasn’t defenseless, you are fricking blind
Posted on 1/2/25 at 4:15 pm to baytay2010
The wr had control of the ball, turned to run. So by definition he was not defenseless.
Posted on 1/2/25 at 4:18 pm to baytay2010
Once a receiver has secured the ball and has had time to start running, they are no longer considered "defenseless"
There you go. You all are wrong period.

Incorrect. You can actually turn your head before you secure a ball and take steps, all at the same time
