Depth on the D issue too. Can't score fast, and expect the D to rest. Being available into the 4th. Especially when the opponents O is fast too.

Dooley had this issue with brays "swag," and his depleted D just couldnt handle it deep into the 4th qtr. Chavis had the issue with Miles at lsu, but I think it was more with horrible qb play.

Game managing QBs are important if you cant have top talent at least 2.5 deep like bama/lsu/auburn/uga can.

There's a certain romanticism here that I don't think is necessarily borne out by fact. All these years lately when the SEC has supposedly been the power conference in the country have happened while Tennessee was crap.
