I can def. buy that in the q/a session Dooley said hey these investigations kill recruiting... Then Chizik said yeah why havent you closed the Cam case and from the article he kept after her. I mean that is a legit issue that it takes so long for the investigations to play out but it's just the nature of the beast.

I have a reliable source that says it is a fact that Bama used the investigation and potential sanctions to get CK and BC's family to force them to switch to Bama against their wishes.

I was shocked when he switched back to UA to be honest. To my understanding, he really wanted to go to UA.

UPS.

Also, I changed some of the names and facts to do him a favor and protect my sources. Regardless, Bama will go down soon and it will be spectacular.

Hell why would a school not bring to a parent's attention the fact that Auburn could quite possibly have severe sanctions coming. They are being investigated for some pretty severe stuff.

I think most would, that was the point of Dooley and Chizik's inquiry to the NCAA bitch that couldn't give the coaches and ADs any decent information.

However, fans that are convinced their school doesn't negative recruit might get upset by such an allegation.

Calloway was our first commitment in the class and had been committed to Bama for something like 8 months. Cyrus K's brother plays for UA. Its not like either of these guys committed to Bama out of the blue.

When it comes to negative recruiting, I think it is wrong to talk trash about opposing coaches and things like that, but I don't have an issue with a coach discussing potential problems that could arrive at an opposing school such as potential sanctions, lack of playing time, a bad system for them, etc. Most of these parents and kids are not message board hawks and are very uneducated about the universities they are considering.

For example, if Gene Chizik wants to make a LB recruit aware that not every LB recruited to play "Jack" actually ends their career at that position and that Bama is is extremely deep and talented there with little early playing time available. I would have a problem if a coach went around calling Saban a liar, fraud, evil person, etc.

I think you are taking my post about BC and CK too seriously. However, I don't think any of these coaches just bad mouth the other schools. I think they are much more sophisticated in their "negative recruiting" and do it in ways much like you described. It doesn't bother me. I just think it is funny that people believe that their favorite team doesn't do it, but their rival does it all the time.

All of these coaches are going to contrast the benefits of going to their school over the competitors. I imagine most of them start off their negative recruiting speeches by talking about how they don't negative recruit. Much like most flame threads start with the "Not a flame" disclaimer.

quite possibly because of negative recruiting , just a suggestion. Maybe we have lost out on a player or two because of it. But who knows.

You might lose out on a player or two because Chiz was punked by a woman in a room full of grown men.

I hate it when Saban holds a gun to my head and tells me to bend over but what can I do?

I doubt it. Auburn might lose out on a recruit or 2 because of possible trouble ahead, but not because he pissed off some lady in a meeting.
