I agree that he pushed it too far in that situation, but had he not said anything at all then we would be discussing how he keeps avoiding the topic and that is just too suspicious, he must be hiding something.

WTF??? No one would even know about the fricking meeting much less say that about Chizik. The only reason we're talking about it is because that chick punked the shite out of Slingblade.

my problem with all of this is, if it really was such a big deal why did it take 43 days for it to get published...

No way to prove it, but my guess is that if he would have sat there and kept his mouth shut Ole' Pete would have written a story about how Chizik had the opportunity to confront the VP of NCAA Enforcement but even after UT Coach Dooley brought the subject up the Auburn coach just sat there like a bump on a log. Or something to that effect. You know as well as I do that every thing Auburn does is going to be twisted and turned into whatever makes for a good discussion.

So you got nothing, huh?

I have been sitting here reading how everyone does it right except Auburn. If they don't say anything then they are hiding something, or not not cooperating with the NCAA. If they do say something then that's not the right place or time, or they shouldn't have said that. I really don't think it matters what they do, the media and message boards are going to see it in a negative light no matter what.

When they cleared Cam to play the first time. Please god tell me you aren't that dumb.

This is about to backfire. Auburn's own internal investigation revealed no wrongdoing so the NCAA reinstated him. Marcel Dareus was suspended a few games because Alabama's internal investigation revealed an improper trip and it was self reported. Eligibility decisions have to be made quickly so the NCAA trusts the school's own findings. If later it is found that the school's investigation was not thorough enough or the school hid an infraction, the school is punished and games the ineligible player participated in are vacated.

I like Chizik honestly. I think he's a good person. I just think the shite that goes on at big time programs is so far beyond the head coach it's just silly. I'm pretty sure none of us really want to know what goes on in the backrooms of bars/restaurants in Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, Florida..... you get my drift?

Then why did Auburn ignore that request for public records and Alabama didn't? Or is that something that was proved to be bullshite too? I can barely keep up anymore.

They didn't ignore it, they declined it due to a ongoing investigation.

This is my problem with many of the Aubs. They don't want to talk about the problems at their school. They just want to talk about media bias, other schools do it too, who is behind the leaks, Brent Calloway, etc.

Who gives a frick why the reporter released the story a month later? Its still a story and the timing makes it no less accurate.

There hasn't been anything substantiated as being wrong to discuss. Please identify the problems you can provide documentation that is taking place at Auburn and I will take the time to discuss that issue. I'm not going to just accept allegations as your basis of your comment.

Would you like to discuss losing Cam and Fairley for 2011, that could be a problem?

I know they let their hatred of Auburn lead them to conclusions. Oh well what are you going to do?
