Well being that once upon a time I was a Texas kid and I went to LSU, and a shite ton of people I know went to schools that aren't a part of the big 12 (i.e Texas State, Rice, UH, TCU, SMU, and a ton of Texas students who are at LSU) I would say most peoples allegiances aren't with the big 12, in fact most aggies and UT fans I know HATE the big 12. They are fans of the school not the conference.

Wrong again that is just an opinion. What are you basing that off of education? If so the Rice and Baylor would be your best bets as best place in Texas to attend, with SMU following pretty close behind.

Most Kentucky fans are rednecks really, not so much hillbillies. The Eastern KY people are generally either too worried about getting their next fix, or are very casual UK fans. Central, Western, and Northern KY are where most UK fans come from.
