USC
I put the areas we improved in bold. These numbers compare the 2011 avg to the 2012 avg. The '12 numbers include 13 games, but the '11 avg's are only for 12 games played.
DEFENSE
Rushing- '11 136 yards, '12 119 yards
Passing- '11 131 yards, '12 150 yards
Total- '11 267 yards, '12 312 yards
Scoring- '11 18.4 pts/gm, '12 17.4 pts/gm
Turnovers Gained- '11 22 total, '12 23 total.
Sacks- '11 earned 31, '12 earned 40 School Record.
TFL's '11 avg'd 6.77 /gm, '12 avg'd 7.08 /gm
Overall, the defense was about on par, it's still close enough in several categories that the bowl game will make the difference. We had notable improvement in Sacks, and Rushing Defense. Our Pass Defense fell off though, but we're still in the Top 20 Nationally for that category.
OFFENSE
Rushing- '11 192 yards, '12 142 yards.
Passing- '11 181 yards, '12 229 yards.
Total- '11 373 yards, '12 372 yards. 1 yard difference
Scoring- '11 30 pts, '12 31.4 pts.
Pass Efficiency- '11 133 rating, '12 150 rating.
Turnover Margin- '11 .38, '12 .25
Sacks Allowed- '11 2.38 /gm, '12 2.92 /gm
Notable improvements in the passing game overall. A big dive in the running game. Scoring did go up. and the Turnover Margin and Sacks Allowed were about the same.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Net Punting- '11 35 yds/punt, '12 36 yds/punt.
Punt Returns- '11 7.8 yds/punt, '12 13.4 yds/punt.
K/O Returns- '11 21.8 yds/ko, '12 20.9 yds/ko.
Ace Sanders was huge for our punt return game. Our punter is still crap.
Overall, the Gamecocks were on par with the previous season, silencing all the haters who said we'd fall off huge after losing Gilmore, Ingram, Trav, Allen and our starting CB's. We got better in some categories, worse in others, and there are still several categories that won't be decided until after the bowl game.
Subjective opinion: We had another great defense, ranked near the top in many aspects. We are going to destroy an avg Big1G team in a bowl game. I'm happy with the QB play this year and we spread the ball around between several receivers really well.
Outlook to next year: We will return 9 starters on Offense, including (but not all started) top 2 QB's, 3 RB's with SEC experience, 5 of the top 6 receivers, and 4 OL. We will return 5 starters on Defense, including Clowney and Quarles and 3 of the 5 DB's. We need to develop LB's, and kicker's quickly. Our schedule is georgian and we have 2 well placed bye weeks. Our toughest 3 games will be in Columbia. We will win the SEC East.

2012 Florida:
Better literally at every position on the field than 2011 Florida.
Coaching was tremendously better. It's amazing how much Muschamp learned from one year to the next.
The offense, although statistically worse, was so much better in 2012 because they protected the football. They didn't take a lot of chances, played very conservatively, and won games.
The defense was just nasty. Especially considering the problems on offense. UF quietly has the #1 PE defense in the country and some really good DB's and no one really talks about it. Elam is an all-american.
Special teams was a weapon this year. UF beat teams this year because of ST and defense.
Overall, probably the biggest turnaround in the country from 2011 to 2012 in a major conference.

LSU is not quite as good since they lost even more nick saban players to graduation last year. After this season, most of his players will be gone and LSU should tank pretty hard in 2013.
Good thing we had so many 7 year seniors last season!!

Offense: No question on who was starting at QB week to week this year. O line was pretty competitive when it was Swiss cheese last year. We found a way to get our playmakers the ball this year instead of Enrique Davis 2 yards up the middle 2 times a drive.
Defense: we learned how to stop the run for the most part. This defense improves week to week as they got worse week to week last year. We actually moved people around to get our play makers on the field. DN was on the field and not a RS.
Bottom line, coaching was done at all aspects of the game and we were better at all aspects sans punting.
