Those scenarios are plausible except AU wins 8 games this year

Georgia doesn't have a tailback with experience

Lattimore, Dyer, Ingram, Richardson, McFadden, etc have all proven that experience means little to nothing at the HB position other than pass blocking.

a receiver worth a shite

That's a stretch to say. Even if the receivers are only average, the SEC's best QB can make them look pretty damn good.

and still is breaking into the 3-4

Bama's 3-4 improved exponentially from year 1 to year 2. Expect Georgia's to do the same.

yet they are going to win the East?

It's a weak division right now. I would put USC as the early favorite by a slight margin, but UGA and UF have a great shot as well. No one stands out in the East. This is a USC team returning who lost to Kentucky and didn't look competitive at all in their final two games.

And I'm ready to watch Bama drop like a rock. They're the most overhyped team this year.

Every team has questions this year. The better way to put it is who would you put above us? FSU? Stanford? LSU?

also, UGA has a pretty easy Schedule.

3 True Road games in the Conference (Ut, Ole Miss and Vandy)
They get us at home, Auburn in a year where they lose a bunch, and don't have to play LSU, Alabama or Arky this year

We could certainly beat them but they could still finish 7-1 or 6-2 in Conference.

see how that game is played

I don't see any Bama fans in this thread praising Herbie. I see a lot of AU fans bashing him and the rest of the gaameday crew for saying what Vegas and the rest of the world are saying....that AU will be fortunate to make a bowl game.

Great point. If UGA is not contending for the East late in the season with that schedule, they really need to fire Richt. That schedule basically gifts him the East with an above average team. Florida draws LSU, Bama and AU from the West. Tough schedule.

There's no way Oregon makes it back to the NC, and FSU won't make it passed OU.

Again, it matters exactly 0% what people predict. Why do you care so much?

Maybe South Carolina will actually put up a fight in Atlanta this year.

I still find it funny that apparently everyone thinks that it's not a big deal to have a frosh/soph starting QB with virtually NO game experience- and are therefore willing to hand over the SEC West to Alabama.

I would have thought that last year taught everyone here that there's no such thing as a sure thing....Or was that all a dream, and Bama went 14-0 in reality with The Greatest College Football Team Of All-Time?

You do realize McElroy had almost no game experience going into 2009 right? I think people believe that the QB position at Alabama, quite frankly, isn't make or break to the teams success.
