SEC West Preview

There is a good breakdown on each team, but it is too long to post here. Just click the link.

PREDICTION

1. Arkansas
2. Alabama
3. LSU
4. Ole Miss
5. Auburn
6. Mississippi State

The top four teams in this division are some of the best in the country. I can make a case for anyone out of the top four to win the division but right now with the offensive prowess of the Razorbacks, I see them winning the divisional title. Alabama brings back an experienced pitching staff while having a potent offense. LSU has some major holes in the lineup which will need to be filled quickly before the start of the 2010 SEC season, and should be a formidable opponent during the postseason. Ole Miss has some major question marks in the rotation after Pomeranz which need to be solved. If they can fill those spots, then they will be tough. Auburn and Mississippi State are still a step behind the upper half of the division right now.

Yes Bama has a good offense coming back, but do they realize Kent Matthes is no longer there? That's a big part of that lineup to replace.

Hey Rohan2Reed, I did not know you were a fellow Giants fan. Go Giants!!

As for LSU being 3, it is not that big of a deal. LSU usually separates itself from the pack in the post-season. The West regular season is always a dog fight.

Agree.

Bama lost Matthes, May and Kubal, and LSU lost Schimpf, Mitchell and Coleman. I wouldn't say any of these teams really lost or gained more than the other.

Should be a very tight race, like it always is.

I said before last year that 20-10 would likely win the league, and it did (F U, Ole Miss). A similar record will probably get it done again unless Florida arse rapes the East.

Swing and a miss

We lost Coleman and J Mitch and Lemahieu, they were good but those holes have already been filled.

Besides I thought Bama fans didn't care about baseball.
