If you don't count his wins, Miles is 0-19 as a coach at LSU. 0-19!! That's horrible.

LSU's SEC record since he got here is the best in the league.

Most importantly Coach Saban ninja'ed his way to BR from Miami and UA to coach the team for 3 years. Sly dog.

Bama has a better SEC record than LSU since 05 and that's including Shula's last year in 06 where he went 2-6 and Sabans first year at 4-4.

Pretty damn impressive, although if you take out last year and the NC run in 07 its not nearly as impressive (still good though)

So...just exclude 2 of his best seasons?

What's the logic here? Am I missing something?

You crazy brah. Straight crazy.

And including 1/9, but not including the vacated wins from 05?

Well, it's about the same. The OP was an appreciation for Coach Miles, not a LSU/UA or CLM/CNS comparison. Me, I just step back and consider how many has done what CLM has done, which is pretty few. He has us at a point where a loss is rare and a win, if not pretty enough, upsets a few. That's a good deal.

LSU: 05_ 7-1, 06_ 6-2, 07_ 6-2, 08_ 3-5, 09_ 5-3, 10_ 6-2, 11_8-0, 12_ 2-1 = 43 wins & 16 losses

Bama: 05_6-2, 06_2-6, 07_4-4, 08_ 8-0, 09_8-0, 10_5-3,11_7-1 12_3-0 = 43 wins & 16 losses.

Miles overall record very impressive, conference record is good, but not great. That's probably why he doesn't get the respect some feel he deserves.

I think we were 7-1 in 2005; lost the Monday night game to Tennessee but ran the table until the SECC.

So you count the SEC championship game for 05 but not '11?

He's 45-17 exactly against SEC teams. This includes Meyer/UF, Petrino/Hogs, Saban/UA and Spurrier/SCar (of which he is 11-8). So what would, in your mind, be 'great'.

Mainly from the cheerio smackers and butthurt crew. They can keep their 'respect'.

Well wontcha just look at that there. The same record. Amazing what change 1 game could do.

And you're not even including our wins vs Tennessee and Georgia in the conference championship game or even our loss on 1/9.
