I wonder how many of the people defending this kid made fun of Powe?

It is almost a HIPAA type thing the NFL should not allow these results to leak

I agree with this. As much fun as I had laughing at Vince Young, fans probably shouldn't be able to find this stuff out. That said, players know fans and the media will find out so they should probably give a shite about their score and not just draw a picture with the answers if they don't want it to be a big story.

There's nothing the NFL can do. The kids that made high scores are going to let that fact be known.

I think its hilarious that all these LSU fans are defending this kid because he has a learning disability, yet used to tear down Powe (who also has a learning disability) all the time without thinking twice. Bunch of fricking hypocrites.

I know people familiar with the Lacy situation coming out of DHS here in Geismar/Prairieville.

He literally PURPOSEFULLY flunked out of school at Dutchtown because he thought his Mom would let him go back to NOLa and hang with his "boyz" in the hood. Living with Grams she wouldn't ever tell him no.

Mom held her ground, he realized he wasn't leaving and he got "some help" in getting his grades back up.

He also got bailed out of a VERY sticky situation with his girlfriend at Dutchtown. Her parents weren't real happy with the (physical) nature of the relationship, shall we say?

Trust me, I won't ever shed a tear for Mr. Lacy. I know his character because I had an idea about what was going on with him before anyone nationally was watching.

Jerrell Powe told a cop, point blank, "I can't read," when they asked him for ID & for what his name was.

The guy's Mom/Grandmother definitely wasn't meaning to slight him. I get it. But when you get into trouble later on and you tell a cop, "I can't read. I don't know what my name is," then its almost obligatory that you'll get some derisive comments made.

Claiborne has kept his nose clean, worked hard, kept his head down, & this isn't his fault. He didn't bring this on himself like the other examples listed here.

So, just so we're straight.

High character kid with LD = Hands off

Low character kid with LD = Have at it

That right?

Your hypothetical was a 4-Star running back who signed with Bama out of HS from this area. One of his coaches at DHS relayed that info to me.

I see your point. Its just that your hypothetical is someone who many here know the story on.

"On some college football teams, as many as one-third of the players are LD. By comparison, the U.S. Department of Education estimates that just 5% of public-school students are classified as learning disabled. "

Pretty interesting article.. One wonders if they can't figure out a way to administer these tests differently for the learning disabled..

The coach I spoke with said he intentionally attempted to flunk out of school. Not that he suffered from a learning disability.

Bit of a difference, wouldn't you agree?

Close, but it's more simple than that.

Player with LD is from your team= Saint

Player with LD isn't from your team= dumbass

Basically what you are saying is that is only a sin when a guy on your squad gets unjustly hammered ?

Okay.

Anyway, it seems you have more of an issue with the individual kid rather than being a knight in shining armor for LD kids...

LSU LD kids = bulletproof

AnywhereU LD kid = ripe for the picking

He was making a joke, because everyone always talked shite about how he couldn't read. He could read as a matter of fact, but we can't be too sure that claiborne can since powe scored much higher on the wonderlic than he did.

Sounds like players get the LD label in order to get in to school and play football, when they do not have a learning disability.
