Can he keep his staff together. With NIL and win immediately culture, schools have a quick trigger with their head coaches. The days of Saban keeping Kirby for ten years are over. The staff turnover definitely affected Bama towards the end of Saban’s tenure. One bad hire, and now one bad portal season, can tank an entire season.
On the bright side, Indiana gives all schools hope for a quick turnaround. But, is it sustainable?

Dynasties are no longer possible with all the changes to.CFB the past 5 years or so. Cig will keep Indiana in contention for as long as he's coaching there, but I wouldn't expect a multi-year run of dominance.
The Hoosiers may be on top now, but other programs aren't simply rolling over and conceding anything. I predict next year it will be someone else. In spite of the way they look this year, Indy doesn't exactly have a stockpile of blue chippers waiting in the wings to take over next season.

He didn't exactly have a stock pile of blue chippers this season either. Or last season. Cignetti is a different type of coach. I'm surprised a lot of people still don't see this.
