LSU crafted a really shitty contract (shitty for the school) with Kelly. Anybody surprised?
Says nothing whatsoever about LSU having the power to cut back Kelly's buyout if they believe he isn't looking for a job in good faith.
Don't believe it? Compare Kelly's contract (really shitty for LSU) to the Ohio State Coaches contract (very strong for the school).
It's all public. Unless Brian Kelly has a very bad lawyer he will get every penny he is owed.
LSU will do well to tamp down any talk about not paying the full buyout, otherwise that will hurt them in what is going to be a very competitive Coaching market.
