there's a whole lot of stupid in this thread. having an opinion is one thing but basing that opinion on stupid is another.

I've used facts to back my opinion, you?
Posted on 8/3/09 at 4:00 pm to GoHoGsGo06
facts: selective games and an appalacian state corner back?
i'll take the opinion of sportswriters and sec coaches thank you.
i'm not saying he's even better than michael smith but to say some of those other tomato cans are better and calling him "fat" reeks of the stupid.

3) For probably the 3 toughest SEC teams, for each both Ark and LSU, to play last year (Florida, Ole Miss, Bama)
Michael Smith = 353 yards (6.09 yards/carry)
Charles Scott = 137 yards (2.98 yards/carry)

Scott getting caught from behind, 1st play of video
Good RBs dont get caught with that kind of lead

ok, i dont care. The media picked Auburn to win the west last year too

Sorry, if someone is slow, then in my opinion they are considered fat if they look the part, and he does look the part. 5'11 233 lbs He is pretty pudgy.

In 2 of the 3 well fell behind and pretty much had to abandon the run in the second half. That may have something to do with it...
In those 3 games:
LSU combined rushes = 92
Arkansas combined rushes:= 81
Try again please

"When I see a defense, especially a good one, I'm going to bring it to you all night until you get tired of it," Scott said. "It's going to be me and you and me and you all night, and we're going to see who quits first."

Of course i am using selective games, trying to find common opponents. I'm comparing them to the same competition

great I can't think of any better 3backs
Posted on 8/3/09 at 4:15 pm to GoHoGsGo06

it's common knowledge that a cornerback is faster than a 233 lb running back

they're pretty dead on with all-sec selections

dude. i doubt you've ever seen him play if you think he's "pudgy". i guess peyton hillis was a lard arse too

He is. He isnt ripped.
But back to the best runningback debate, do you not agree Michael Smith is a better back, in terms of production?

Not with that kind of a lead, if he is really "All SEC"

says Auburn and Ole Miss last year

i have seen him play, as i said earlier i have. Hillis was kind of pudgy, but of course he is playing an FB/RB hybrid in the NFL now, as he looks like.

i agree. but CS is still one of the better returning backs in the league.
seriously, you base your opinion on someone being "fat", one play, and three games? that's why no one takes you seriously.

i'm done. i can't argue the stupid. Hillis is pudgy? my gawd. CS prolly runs a 4.7 and the ASU corner runs a 4.5. so yeah, he will catch him as he would most big RBs. it was nice talking to you. i think i'll go argue with a 3 year old over santa claus now. might be more interesting.
btw-CS plays FB as well

no im not basing my comparison on 3 games.
Im basing it on the season, and using common teams played for stats, simple as that.

I have already said he is one of the bette backs in the league, but just that he is not the top like most people/media make him out to be. He will end up 3-5 in my opinion. To get to my opinion, i use facts, not homerism.
