First, congratulations on Coach Morris. A lot of Clemson fans are adopting Arkansas as their second favorite team to cheer for.

Coach Morris is the Architect of Clemson's current offense that has been successful since 2011. It's not exactly the same way as he ran will at Clemson and I'll touch on that shortly.

He is a Fantastic recruiter and is a good family man from everything we have observe. While he knows the Texas recruiting lanes very well, he will steal some talent out of Florida as well..

You will get very talented QB's, TE's and WR's wanting to come to Arky...TE's in his scheme will catch several passes a year as he understands the importance of spreading the ball. TE's are not just big blockers in a Chad Morris Offence.

He is a risk taker. He is going to stretch the field early. He doesn't care who the defensive backfield is or how good they are. They are going to get tested.

He wants 80-100 offensive plays per game. Alabama-type offenses like 60 or so offensive snaps to play ball control.

The way Clemson keeps our defense from tiring out being out on the field more is simple..we put 2nd and 3rd stringers in the game in meaningful downs throughout the year so when it's championship November, we have a very experienced group of players that can rotate in and out and play fresh....(We only have 6 scholarship Seniors this year). That's why some of our earlier games can get a little messy, but usually by the end of October we are a pretty solid team usually peaking.

Tricky/Gimmick plays: He is a bit of a mad scientist at times. He will throw some crazy shite at a team that works a lot more than it doesn't.

Downfalls: Sometimes he doesn't know when to slow down. That's probably the one biggest ding we saw at Clemson. There were times when we had big leads or when we just needed to take the air out of the ball and Morris couldn't do that..Tempo, Tempo, Tempo!...The Auburn game this year is an example of how we evolved. We got a decent lead, Auburn couldn't score and we were able to grind the clock out and take the W.

He definitely likes to run the ball! He can run the HUNH as fast with the running game as he can with the passing game.

It is a very exciting time to see Arky deveolp over the next few years.

I was told clemson fans were like hillary clinton.

I'm starting to think South Carolina fans have been lying to us the whole time.

I posted this late last night:

“He certainly set the precedent for Clemson's offensive style but I would argue that the moment he left Clemson became a more balanced and efficient offense. He tends to totally eliminate the run game in the second half of games. There were a lot of very quick three and outs during his era.

Clemson's replacement OC Tony Elliott (who was on Morris' staff) just won an Assistant Coach of the Year Award this season. Without Watson, Elliott totally flipped the script and Clemson is a running team this year.

All that being said he is well liked by fans, coworkers and by his former players. During the Houston flooding Deshaun Watson went and stayed with Morris and his family in Dallas for about a week.”

That's what they want you to think, pio. Y'all are far too gullible, Arky. Easy prey for taters. We tried to warn you.

It's been talked about..LOL. Venables and Morris were really good friends. It would be interesting to see what it would take to get Venables from Clemson especially since his son will be attending there as a top defensive recruit next year..

My guess is Venables will send one of the coaches from his branch to help coach Morris..

We will see..

Thank you for the info.

One thing I’ve learned in the last few days is that Morris aside from being a good coach must be a freaking great guy- everyone that’s has had dealings with him really seems to like him.

I’m so excited to be excited again!!!

There's no such thing as a gullible Arkansas fan. Our mettle has been forged in the fires of disappointment.

You don't have to pick a side...Clemson and South Carolina Rivalry is so very bitter. The schools are 126 miles apart in a state of about 4 million people with some spill over into Georgia (Clemson is 75 miles away from UGA).

You pretty much have to declare at birth and the rivalry NEVER stops...It goes on 24-7, 365 days a year.

They hate us and we hate them and that won't change.

Good info. Hardly any negativity coming as a reaction to our hire. That wasn’t the case from Wisky fans when Bielema got the job.
