The only trend I saw this past year.
Blue chip count matters, your 2nd team matters, the seniority of the blue chippers matter (meat of your BC’ers need to be juniors/seniors. The only team that trumped blue chip teams was old teams. If the meat of your defense or offense is 3*s, then you want seniors, 5th year seniors, 6th year seniors. There are teams in our conference who fielded teams with the average age on the field that 22/23 years old according to the announcers on one of our games. With the eligibility rules changing, you can now go get 22-24 year old JUCOs instead of a 19 year old who was a 3* that has one summer in a weight room.
