That's ridiculous as the RF didn't even have a good enough read on the ball as soon as it left the bat.

The ball literally landed right by his foot. There was zero reason for him to not make the catch.

I agree, it was the RF to make the play. My response was to him calling it as soon as the ball left the bat. Maybe I'm nit picking, but I'm going by exactly what he typed. You need a few seconds to recognize the trajectory of the ball in realtion to the field, especially on a high pop up like that, before you can determine where it's headed and who makes the play. The RF was in the best position because he was in front of the ball, and had the best peripheral view of the field especially in relation to the stands. He should of called it very loud and clear and it would of been a routine play.
