Can someone walk me through the Leavitt timeline?

First of all, if LSU gets Williams, that will be an incredible get. Unless Chambliss comes back, I think Williams could be the best returning QB in the country. He was #1 on my wishlist back in October when we figured Simmons was leaving and Chambliss was done.

I've seen some mixed stories on what exactly transpired on Leavitt's visit. Some say that Lane wasn't thrilled about the injury report so LSU moved on Williams. From what I've gathered, he was supposed to leave yesterday but was talked into staying so that doesn't make sense to me.

I've also seen that Sam told them he would still do his visits so Lane moved on. Anyone able to clarify?
