I havent heard anything about Newton not being able to trhow, He has thrown for over 2,500 yds in JUCO and 25 TDS and rushed for over 800 with 15tds. Pretty good stats IMO even if it is JUCO.

I hope ya'll play UTk while he is there for this reason.
you are aware that Cameron Newton at the time was 6'6 and weighed 240 some odd pounds.... The person he trucked was Dennis Rogan.... Who is 5'10 and weighs all of 180
on the other end of the spectrum, he'd be a great pickup for State

I'm not as sold on Newton as most State fans seem to be. It's not a lock that he'll be good at State. No matter what it is a drastic improvement though. Is there a chance Russel wins the job next year with newton there? just sayin.

I am fully aware of it and it still makes me
.
Rogan seems like a good dude though.

Newton now being recruited by OU:

Newton visited OU this weekend after OU assistants Josh Heupel, Jay Norvell and Kevin Wilson reportedly watched Newton last week as he led Blinn to the junior college national championship.
“Honestly I didn’t know what to expect coming to Oklahoma,” Newton told Rivals.com network Web site SoonerScoop. com, “but right now I’m speechless and in awe of what I saw in the last 48 hours.”

Still a MSU Lock IMO, he can come to State and start right away at Oklahoma he will have to compete against Landry Jones who knows their system. At State he will know Mullen's system from his two years with Mullen in Gainesville. I have read that he is looking to commit on Dec. 22 and is considering visiting either North Carolina or Auburn this week, but per his dad they are getting tired of all of theses schools coming on late and offering him after he won the JUCO National Championsship and has been upgraded to a 5* recruit by Rivals.
I think that his relationship with Mullen will be the dedicing factor. With Newton as our QB, MSU will win 7 or 8 games next year.

What good does saving it do if Newton doesn't come to state?

Let me Guess CDawg, your on the Chris Relf/Tyler Russell Bandwagon.
Newton is the #1 JUCO QB in the nation and a game changer who will give Coach Mullen the perfect QB for his offense.

Absolutely not, I'd love to have Cam Newton as our QB. I'm just not some schmuck who gonna post about my man-crush over a certain recruit 20 times a day on a message board.
