I have ZERO CLUE if he is or isn't, I don't know the man so I can't rightly speculate on that.
But this morning he told everyone he was part of the NIL package that was offered to downs lol. Granted that could be as innocent (and misleading..) as simply contributing to the schools' collecdtive like thousands of others do. But he made it sound like him a small group of trench coated low hatted people were in a room wiht the coaching staff putting deals on tables.

You won't find a bigger disparity in roster building than Saban at Alabama compared to Belichick at New England.
Saban put together a roster full of 5* players where very few transferred for playing time and many came back to Bama for another season instead of heading off to the NFL.
Belichick routinely traded their 1st round picks or picked late in the first round and when younger veteran players had hefty demands for a new contract, were traded for more picks.

The Downs news sucks. No getting around that. The rules are the rules. Sometimes they work in your favor and sometimes they dont. Bama at this time just happens to be on the wrong end now.

100%, Alabama's main edge was Saban and having the best 4-5 stars sit for 2-3 years behind NFL talent. They were okay with that because Alabama was the only show in town. But now those kids want to play right away and maximize their earnings potential and you're seeing it last few years with how spread out talent is.
