I think Doyel was the writer that was interviewed by Jay Barker and Al Delgreco one time here in Bham. Al asked him a question and Doyel went off on Al and told him "he should stick to kicking." Then Jay Barker went off on Doyel and hung up on him. It was awesome radio. Doyel sounded like a complete jack arse.

Never, ever take the Ole Miss football program seriously. Not this seriously, anyway. No. 4? Ole Miss? Look -- in a pretty good year, Ole Miss will be the No. 4 team in the SEC West. In a very good year, Ole Miss will be the No. 4 team in the entire conference. But No. 4 in the country? Ole Miss?

Spot on with this statement.

He can go frick himself. Also something tells me he has had most of this article written for a while and just filled in the gaps, just waiting for us to frick up. Wouldn't surprise me if he debued it if we lost to Bama in 14 overtimes.

Also he could have done a similar article on Florida after we beat them last year, and look how their season turned out. This game has scared the shite out of most rational Ole Miss fans, obviously for good reasons. And Snead has kissed any remote chance of a Heisman with that shitty game.

I do think he was a bit harsh. After Ole Miss beating of Texas Tech in last year's Cotton Bowl, beating Florida and their beatdown of us, they did deserve a pretty high preseason ranking. Maybe not 4th but perhaps 10 to 12. Hey, I'm glad they lost, that helps us in the west, but this guy was pretty over the top.

This is a hit piece aimed at the entire SEC. The same could be said of any highly ranked team with a loss, including LSU in 2007 with their two losses to two teams who were worse than this season's USC. Why don't you see these articles re: Ohio State, USC, Texas, Oklahoma, ND?
