No reasonable college football fan thinks that 10 to 20 years out that a Wake Forest versus Virginia football game will have anything but a miniscule TV audience. Other than FSU versus Clemson I would wager that there are NO ACC football games that have any realistic hope of being a marquee national TV audience game in 10 to 20 years. This means that ultimately this ACC football conference will die for lack of TV exposure which means lack of money. FSU knows that and so does Clemson and that is why they are trying to force their way out of the ACC.

So make your TV case for the now existing B12. Cincy, UCF, Baylor, Texas Tech, Houston, Kansas State, Colorado, etc, etc.

"What's the upside of Florida State?" the source said. "We got what we needed by adding USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington — and Oregon and Washington were added at 50 cents on the dollar to help USC and UCLA. Who would Florida State help? And at what cost? And, most importantly, who's going to pay for it?

Big Ten has real leadership now that Kevin Warren is gone. That's already a monster conference stretching from New Jersey to LA

I will not make that case for the B12. The two well-positioned conferences are the SEC and the B10 with many regular season games that will attract large TV audiences. Those are the conferences that teams like FSU and Clemson want to be in.

Your question does raise an interesting point though. Outside the SEC and B10 there are a number of teams that must make some move for the long term. The first tier of that group is FSU, Clemson and Notre Dame. The second tier is open for debate but could include teams like TCU (been in the CFB playoff), West Virginia (once a national power), etc….
