What about bama's two of first three on the road.
Or a stretch in the middle where three of four are on the road.
That's the kind of schedule that did bama in back in '10. It wasn't all those byes their opponents had. It was the placing of the road trips.

Wins - UTEP, Central Arkansas, Tulane
Losses- Bama, LSU, Arkansas, Auburn, A&M, UGA
Swings - Vandy, Texas, State
Should have some serious momentum going into the Texas game at home. Mack Brown is known for committing some coaching blunders (Iowa State 2010), so if we can pull that off, I'd say we could easily be 5-6 going into the Egg Bowl. Huge if though.

quote:Yeah you'd love that this year until next year when you'd have to go to BR, Tuscaloosa, and Auburn. Yeah that's schedule suicide.
I wish we had Auburn at home too, but all in all - I like our schedule too.

LSU and Carolina at home
Mizzou to the Swamp for the 1st time.
@aTM in Week 2.
SEC schedule is over by 11/3. Super weird.
Back to back creampuffs in mid-Nov. zzzzzzz

South Carolina:
Start off the college football season for the third time in five years I believe with a Thursday night game. @ Vandy. It'll seem like a tough game...for a half. Then we pull away and get the W.
Next games are home against ECU, UAB, and Mizzou. After that we travel to Kentucky.
We should be 5-0 entering the toughest stretch of our schedule:
Georgia-W [75%]
@ LSU-L [40%]
@ Florida-W [70%] UF is definitely a trap game and everyday I get less confident that we can get the win in the Swamp. Especially if we somehow upset LSU
Tennessee-W [80%] I'm glad this game is in Columbia. If they're passing game turns out to be legit as Vol fans think, we might find ourselves in trouble.
BYE
Arkansas-Toss up [50%] We need to beat these guys at home this year because they've really had our number. Their strength (passing) plays to our weakness (secondary).
After that its instate gimmee, Wofford. Then we travel to Clemson, to play our instate rival. Will win. BIG.
The best I see us going is 11-1 with a loss to LSU. The worst is 8-4 with losses to Georgia, LSU, UF, and Arkansas.
I think we'll go 10-2 though with losses to LSU and one of UF and Arky. That should be enough to get us to Atlanta.

4 OOC games, ole miss, UK - We pick the final score.
@Bama, @LSU - Our defense will keep it from being embarrassing, but our offense won't do much. Sure losses.
The 4 swing games are all home games.
UT, aTm, and auburn are all games we should, but aren't guaranteed to win.
Arkansas is a longshot.

Well the first one is not really road game, neutral site. A little different than having to enter a hostile environment. Arky is the first true road test. But at Mizzou, Tenn and LSU in four weeks is a tough row to hoe.
as for 2010, I think your down playing the 6 SEC teams with bye weeks before Bama. Dude, that was a friggin huge disadvantage. Everyone was well rested and well prepared, and it showed. SC played the perfect game! I still can't believe Spurrier was able to keep Garcia sober enough to have the game of his career! He looked like goddam Tom Brady that day.

We went 10-2 last year. Trade out the loss to Auburn for LSU.
And how'd that work out as far as being enough to go to Atlanta?

How did going to Atlanta work out for you guys??
10-2 with a win over UGA should get us to Atlanta. I think y'all will lose two games as well.

USCe has passed its apex.
You'll be basement dwellers again soon, if not this year.
