You can't schedule an easier SEC schedule. You don't get to choose that one.
Your OOC schedule this year was shite. You did the best you could do, hoss. Almost worked. Just couldn't beat a 3-5 and 2-6 SEC team.

Of all the teams in the SEC, this is the least true about Alabama. We can easily control our own schedule. Our brand does not need a conference.

It's true. There's literally no benefit.
These games mattered with the BCS. The playoff committee clearly doesn't value attempting to schedule good OOC competition.

A win is win. 8 OT win with ref help vs GA Tech is pathetic. A 1 point win vs the worst Kentucky team in a decade is pathetic.
A decisive victory over the supposed #2 team in the country can never be pathetic.
Nobody would be surprised if Bama won the whole thing vs SMU had zero chance to win the whole thing.

Wisconsin was the Big 10 runner up when we scheduled this game. We can't make other teams maintain success. We can only schedule teams based on what is known at the time.
Scheduling Indiana or SMU wouldn't have been better, but somehow they made the playoffs.

Alabama would beat UGA 9/10 times. It was decisive. A late rally doesn't change what we all saw. After the game was over it was weeks of speaking about the lack of talent UGA had at WR and lack of game changer at QB etc. It was a come to Jesus moment for the program.
