I'm sorry but being politically correct is a bunch of shite. I used to get chills down my spine when their fans came into Tiger Stadium and waving their rebel flags. I loved it when their band played Dixie. I'm just trying to figure out what the song, Dixie, is offensive to black people. How is the Confederate flag offensive to blacks when you have black leaders and preachers publically denouncing the white race. I'm not a racist but Ole Miss should be allowed to continue with their traditions. Here in Alabama, Confederate flags are flying over grave sites and over the Confederate Museum and cemetary. Alabama doesn't have a problem recruiting blacks. I remember, as a kid, Wallace blocking the doors to Bama when the blacks tried to attend class.

+1. Also....shouldn't the British flag be more offensive? I mean...wasn't that the flag flying high on ships transporting slaves to America?

.... I don't know who annoys me more. Our own idiotic fans who don't realize its just a guy in a foam head or fans of other schools who want us to remain a bastion of some of our bleaker southern history?
Don't get me wrong here... I love From Dixie with Love and want it back badly, but I also have some Col. Reb stuff. One will come back and the other won't be missed.

There are going to be those for it and against it in situations like this. And I respect others opinions on the matter. And I won't call them idiots or "fans that don't care" because they don't see it my way.
