Going down there to possibly take over as Youth Minister at one of the bigger churches in town.
Nothing's set in stone, but wheels are starting to roll. There's a chance official contact could happen in the next few weeks.

Doesn't matter, buddy of mine was a Choir minister at a non-denominational church up there. Apparently some saw/heard he was at a bar drinking. His boss called him into the office, told him that they do not condone that behavior and fired him.
Not sure if that church is that strict but I know a few that are. My family lives up there and they be nuts about church.

That'd be one of those things that I'd clarify in the interview process, since playing music is a source of income for me.

Now second part, do not get caught....
Does Youth Minister pay well? I know one at one of Churches in Baton Rouge and dude must make 40-50k a year. All he does is have fun as well it seems.

I was underpaid when I did it previously, but I was also a student as well at the time, so I didn't have a high cost of living.
If it's financially reasonable for me to make this move, and I can support myself fully with a good place and still have money to take care of cell phone bills and such since I'll be starting over in LA, then I'll do it. I don't think that'll be a problem though.
