I didn’t think it was obviously a bad hire. LSU needed an adult in the room after the drunk teenager, Ed O. It just turned out to be the wrong adult.

Kelly is an a-hole. Nobody likes him. Unlike Saban, he doesn’t win the big games to make up for being an a-hole. That is why he was a bad hire

Possible…even likely. Bama’s lack of a run game will hurt us again. But I’m still very pleased with the gritty play it took to win 4 straight SEC games against ranked opponents.
1. Bama will make the playoffs and can make a run.
2. It took Auburn until October 25 to get an SEC win and a matchup with the SEC’s worst defense for offensive genius Hugh Freeze to score more than 18 points in conference.
3. Tennessee is good, but Alabama just beat them for the 17th time in 20 games. 11 straight wins in Tuscaloosa.
4. LSU gave Brian Kelly an almost Jimbo Fisher level contract.
Not a bad time to be a Bama fan.

Even if Alabama did lose a game, they won the head to head at UGA, so if each had one conference loss, I think Alabama would play in the title game.
Personally I am ready for an end to the conference title game, and it will eventually happen, because in some years it will exclude an SEC team from the playoffs that would otherwise make it.
