Why do you indicate that you are a Baylor fan and refer to A&M as "we." (Maybe you were referring to LSU as "we?") Very confusing.
After thinking about it some more, I've decided you are an Aggie fan who tries to be clever, but aren't very good at it.

A&M's D certainly had a rough time against La Tech but it was also a bit of a perfect storm.
First you had 4 guys in the secondary and at LB out either through suspension or injury. That played a huge factor not only in missing the talent against a spread offense but also depth wise. By the 2nd half A&M simply had some really tired guys out there, especially on the last 2 TD drives by La Tech. The game was 5 hours long and La Tech had well over 100 plays and some A&M players barely came out. I mean the game almost went until 1AM, it was just crazy.
You also had some very questionable officiating that not only extended a lot of drives for La Tech but it was messing with the heads of the DB's. There were 19 penalties, that's just insane. Essentially every throw to Patton in the 2nd half was either a catch or a PI, regardless. Our DB's were very frustrated because they weren't allowed to cover the guy. The first big PI that led to La Tech's first TD really set a tone.
If you look at the first half A&M really contained La Tech well and thus they comments above. Had they had fresh bodies and the refs were calling a normal game I have little doubt the initial 27-0 lead A&M went out to would not have been challenged as vigorously as it was.
A&M's D isn't as good as LSU, Bama, UF, or USC. They just aren't terrible either. I also think they will play a lot differently in front of 87k at Kyle than in that cluster in Shreveport.

the kids problem is he likes to take off at the first hint of pressure. Unfortunately for JFF...our DEs are the fastest in college football.

I think they Key to this game is gonna be our Oline, if they play like they did against USCe this game could get ugly. However if they play like they did the few games before that it could get interesting.
I for one though am glad to see the series renewed.

Unless one of our players hits him too hard while celebrating in the end zone.

I would think Minter would fit the role of spying Manziel. How fast is he?

His sideline-to-sideline speed is his biggest strength

Minter was a beast in what I have seen this year. We'll need our RB be on alert and block if he plays like he has been

Manziel actually has done a much better job of staying in the pocket than he did in the UF game. He does like to move and run but he doesn't bail at the first sign of pressure. I also wouldn't get too hyped on your DE's catching him every time. He's not only fast as hell his real strength is he is so elusive. Over pursue him and he will be 10 yards past you before you know what happened. He has just ridiculous instincts for understanding what space he has and how to juke a defender into grabbing air.

..however JFF can scramble like no other qb ive seen this year and much better than shaw in that regard. I think there will be a mutual respect in the game film rooms for the speed of the game (both teams)...otherwise someone is in for a supprise.

oh, Ags. you guys are adorable.

he's also a small target and actually pretty good at not avoiding hard sqaured up hits. The thing that worries me is that hes a gamer and his balls will swell up to the size of a bull's and he'll try to do too much.
Also can't have any of that scrambling back 20 yds business, because there will be 3-4 sub 4.5 guys chasing him.

How fast is LSU compared to FL or Ole Miss on defense?

Not scared at all. Florida defense is just as good as LSU. Bring it on over to CS, bitches.
