i didn't mind when we won 21 games over two years a coupe years back, if that's what your asking.
and Bret's two classes are better than anything Nutt or Petrino threw together.
if we're talking facts.

I think we currently only have 3 4* OL committed at present, had that many last year as well.

oh ok so in other words Berts medicore recruiting combined with Petrinos coaching would be the ideal situation

i don't care and i don't mean that pissy. i'm not betting the farm on him or anything myself. i do think he's probably much better than the average ranter likes to say but who knows if he'll work out or not. if 'or not' then bring on the next guy.

nobody said you didn't have any 4 stars
Posted on 2/4/14 at 12:57 pm to piggilicious

Bret's recruiting is better than Petrino, plus I was told championships are won in the trenches, is that not the case anymore?

Gus has an offensive roster full of his players already...he is good.

OL is the one position where stars truly don't matter after a point. DEVELOPMENT does.
Almost all 1st rounders who were 2-star recruits were offensive linemen (Eric Fisher, Andre Smith, etc.)

I agree
but Bret clearly isn't the gameday coach Petrino was

You are sounding like a star gazer talking about all dem 4 stars in the trenches.
