He’s lazy and takes plays off. Has a ton of potential but that is the book on him. Simmons has all the ability in the world and will be great in the NFL. Coasting like many tend to do that aren’t pushed.

I’ll say this. Simmons has all the athletic talent in the world. With the proper work put in, has all the ability to be a Von Miller.

From a strictly statistical perspective, Howell is better by half a sack this season.

lol.

Cassius Howell…but he ought to be an inspiration for Colin Simmons. Howell wasn’t the raw athlete Colin may be…but sticking around his senior year to develop and learn, greatly improved his potential for the NFL. By all accounts Cassius worked his arse off to become a first round draft pick. He has also benefited greatly from Elko’s defensive schemes. Lol…I hope he doesn’t, but if Simmons sticks around for four years, works hard, he could be one of the greatest in the SEC.

Von miller was not the 2nd pick until he went to the senior bowl and dominated then he was the obvious 2nd pick I’m just saying that’s who Simmons reminds me of his frame and athleticism

Von had 10.5 sacks and 17.5 TFL while missing 6 games due to an injury his last year. He especially dominated in the OU and Texas games and even missing that time he was a 1st Team AA and won the Butkus. He has always played his best in the biggest games and he just tookover at times and was completely unblockable. He's in the conversation with the best LB's of all time, certainly of the past 15 years.

So no, Simmons is not in that league. He's really good. He may someday be truly great.

Simmons is an early First Round talent with stereotypical size. It’ll be interesting to see how the NFL views a guy like Howell, I think he could sneak into the first round too.
