using last 4 years and ONLY the last 4 years of players getting drafted to the NFL is retarded, especially when it's 4 worst years in Tennessee and Petrino-era Arkansas
the fact is Arkansas have always produced Kentucky level talent and always WILL produce Kentucky level talent. Arkansas = Kentucky
LINK ]247 State of Tennessee 5* and 8 4*, 61 TN players rated by 247
LINK ]247 State of Arkansas 3 4* and only 11 AR players rated by 247

Tennessee 61
Arkansas 11
Kentucky 8
NFL Draft picks of those In-state kids the past 12 years
Tennessee 47
Arkansas 27
Kentucky 23
Arkansas = Kentucky

Overall, I'd say UT has a bigger pool to recruit from and nicer facilities, thus the better chance for success for a coach. USCe is taking a lot of 3* and 4* GA kids like UT used to in the 90s. If UT can get that turned around and use their national recruiting in CA, FL, VA, and OH, then it's a pretty good job.
Mr. SEC disagrees with you.
LINK
Arkansas
The Verdict: Based on his previous success at a big, BCS football school as well as the recruits that he’ll surely target in Texas — the Hogs are adding non-conference foes from the Lone State State left and right — Bielema has the best odds for long-term success. Again, Arkansas is one of the winningest programs in the country. The Razorbacks’ new coach was handed the keys to a Lexus SUV, not a Toyota Tercel.
Tennessee
The Obstacles: Jones is the fourth coach in Knoxville since 2008 so the roster has numerous holes. Taking a larger view, the Volunteers must recruit nationally to survive.
Mr. SEC is betting on Arkansas over Tennessee.

You are reading that article with Hog colored glasses, you know that Tennessee has been better and will continue to be better in the future.

Petrino era at Arkansas made better High School players in Arkansas?
Stop with the recruiting rankings again, you look foolish. No one is going to use unproven data on kids that haven't even played a down in college.
2000-2012 there was a large gap. Why did the gap drastically close in 2005-2012 and then Arkansas pulled ahead in 2008-2012?
Care to explain since all the booming population isn't working with the trend over there in Tennessee.

No. The game has changed.
Also, what was invented? I'm assuming that was just a stupid comment attached to nothing.

I agree that the game has changed, but Arkansas has not gained any advantage over Tennessee.
Can you tell otherwise?

no he isn't. only you'd interpret Tennessee and Arkansas are the same
how's your recruiting going btw?
current recruiting rankings:
UT #3 in the nation (#1 tomorrow 7/3)
Arkansas #55 in the nation. DEAD LAST in the SEC
past 10 years UT almost always finished top 10 in recruting. sometimes top 5 (#2 in 2002, #4 in 2005, #3 in 2007, etc)
past 10 years Arkansas barely broke into top 30. almost Kentucky level recruiting
Arkansas = Kentucky

Never said we did.
Arkansas went to the BCS with the vast majority of our study players coming from within the state. We are going back to Texas and having Texas A&M in Dallas every year plus a OOC game every other year in Texas puts us back on the same field Tennessee had when recruiting Georgia and the Carolinas.
Arkansas has a massive Alumni base in Dallas too.
Y'all just don't want to admit Tennessee and Arkansas are very much alike with a little more winning going to Tennessee.

i still don't understand the obsession with recruiting over actual results

The Petrino era has nothing to do with the amount high school talent in Arkansas. Holy shite.

You have that backwards, A&M will get all the recruits now, Arkansas may get what is left, sorry, just a reality check.

Who said that? Copy and paste please.
Arkansas and Tennessee have the same advantages and disadvantages minus a little more tradition for Tennessee. That is it.

Same usually means equal.
That's correct.
Arkansas has been missing out on Texas talent which Tennessee used to pick up on the eastern front in states like Georgia and the Carolinas.

I hope TAMU takes the #1 class in the nation each year from Texas so we can sell to their rival high schools with the same talent.
The stronger Texas A&M gets the stronger Arkansas becomes. Watch and see as the SEC spreads over Eastern Texas. It is exactly what helped us in the SWC.

You know that Coaching plays a big role in the results obtained, We have a new coach, you have a new coach, recruiting is going better for us (as always) so we will get a good answer when the season gets going. Good luck!
