And if any of you SEC newbs want to know why UT is so revered in the SEC. Here it is.

Who says Texas is revered in the SEC ... oh, errrr, wait. You meant Tennessee?

Ok so who, other than Vol fans, says Tennessee is revered in the SEC?

The list was obviously comprised by one or more people with a heavy Tennessee bias - that's a provable fact just by noting the obvious metrics used to achieve the observable results. Even so, living in the past, revering on ancient history ... most SEC fans could GAF about Tennessee history from the 40s, 50s, $ 60s although, I will admit, I have always been fascinated with that '51 team that dominated the college gridiron the Fall before I was born.

Wow. Each of the big 6 teams has as many as the little 8 have combined (at least)

Thanks for compiling list.

Handful of #s I'd disagree with, but I don't know all those guys who played forever ago well enough to say that one #50 that played in the 70's was better than another #50 that played in the 50's (just grabbed # at random, but you get the point).

I dont know of any other #27s around the sec but al wilson deserves that spot over arian foster for us. He wasnt that great for us. He has a ton of yards through his career but its mainly because he started for 4 years. Granted that's a pretty good thing to do but wilson was a much more noticeable player and leader, playing linebacker.

37 - Tommy Casanova over Shaun Alexander

Alexander was legit, but Casanova was a 3x All-American, picked to the Walter Camp All-Century team.
