1. They just had the best class of all time.
2. They don’t need to rush to offer anyone.
3. In fact, they have been burned before by going early on players and it’s in fact a luxury to be able to be in the position they are in.
4. They hired a new coordinator who must learn to deal with recruiting in the SEC and all that entails. So it’s is better to be prudent and take a smaller class than you need to and be certain about the guys you offer.
5. Plus, honestly with where the portal is, as a coach there’s no reason to hurry. There’s gonna be transfers with more experience later.

So the wait and see approach is actually an acceptable approach. If you get the guys you need.

And right now, A&M absolutely is getting their needs filled. So far.

If they crap the bed and their averages go down. That’s when to worry. But slow rolling on success isn’t a bad strategy.
