I know this is going to piss off every LSU fan on the board....
... but I don't think Les Miles has enough upstairs to be head coach at LSU. The things I've watched him do on the field the last couple of years have been unbelievable.
I really think he's not the guy that will bring LSU back to prominence. When you turn to a state trooper and ask him how many timeouts you have left, something is very wrong.
I'm sure Les is a quality person and a good recruiter but he ain't the guy. My opinion.

Please stop the Dooley/Saban comparisons. Saban is to the ventriloquist as Dooley is to the wooden, inanimate doll, even though it's debatable whether or not Saban is animate.
Also, tradition does not persuade many high school kids to attend a given school. Sure Alabama pitches it successfully now, but that's only because Saban is the head coach.
I don't remember many highly rated recruits lining up to play for Shula, even though Bama's won 42 multiplied by pi national championships.
Recruits want to play for championships and play for a coach who will prepare them for the NFL. Saban now has two national championships under his belt, and he's sent many players to the NFL. That's all that matters.
